Terroir and Vinification
Ideally located in the middle of the Languedoc’s largest natural site, viticulture is practiced producing wines of highest quality and reflecting the best that “Appellation La Clape” has to offer. In 2015, the appellation La Clape was accredited “Grand Cru” thus joining other prestigious, internationally renowned French appellations. The grapes for this wine come from vines planted on urgonian limestone clay and stony soils. The blend is principally Marsanne and Roussanne complemented by a touch of Viognier. The grapes are hand sorted before being pressed. The wine is then matured in barrels and cement vats. Great with savoury dishes, exotic foods, poultry and cheeses.
